Well its been a while since posted here. Its always quicker/easier just to post FPL stuff on Twitter. Anyway, having a good gameweek is good excuse/reason to post for first time this season. Although it could have been even better.

I scored 108 in gameweek 9. GW rank of 163k. Rank is now 235k – up from 519k. A 55% change!

My rank now almost back up to where I was in gameweek 4.

It was also my first green arrow in a few weeks after 4 red arrows in a row – it has been very average. Actually my score in 4 previous weeks was either exactly the average score or just 1 off it.

My 108 points owes much to Salah who keeps scoring and big haul from Mount. (I also a help from my team Manchester United being rubbish and basically letting Liverpool score!). I have had Mount since GW4 and before this week he has scored 3 points. To be fair he has not played much but that does not help as an FPL manager! Feel unlucky for people who captained Havertz. He was the only player who played for Chelsea to blank.

It could have been better though because I actually made 3 transfers and took a 4 point hit – had 2 free transfers. Got rid of Ronaldo, Shaw and Jota. In came Azpilicueta, Mbeumo and Kane. Unfortunately Azpi did not play so Brandon Williams came on with his -1 points! Mbeumo just 1 point and went off injured and Kane just 2 points. And now Mbeumo and Azpi flagged!

The players who left team – Ronaldo and Shaw did nothing so that was OK but Jota got 11 points. So if I had done nothing would have got 117 points I think:

• Shaw got -1 points too so no difference
• Ronaldo 1 point so at least Kane got a point more!
• Jota got 11 points so 10 more than Mbeumo

Oh well, can’t complain!

It was one of those weeks where there were quite a few teams got 100+ points. If you captained Salah, thats already 48 points. He has scored 107 points so far – madness. Blanked in just 1 week. If he keeps this up, he will be well over 400 points. Insane. Surely not sustainable (but who knows) – also he could well miss some games before of AFCON. Almost 70% of teams own Salah now. It really should be more!!

Fingers crossed for a good gameweek 10! I do have a bit of an excuse now with all the flags in team. I have no keeper right now and Dennis is red flagged. It looks like Raphinha and Mbeumo may be fit now to play so that does help. I want to get Foden in but take a hit – after sorting out Raya? I want to get rid of Kane too. That was a mistake. I have never had that much luck with Kane in my team and he is so out of form. And Spurs too. Although only other option I considered was Vardy and he got 1 point after going off injured at half time. May just get a cheap/mid-price forward and put more money into midfield.
