First post of the season. Gameweek 6 review. Upcoming plans

So much for trying to post here more often this season. I blame the poor start to the season for having lack of enthusiasm to post a blog!

First 4 gameweeks of this season were rubbish even by my standards. End of GW4 I was 5.1m overall rank! All red arrows, gameweek rank gradually getting worse:

Although like many, I had most of the same key/template type players but just means a few wrong decisions such as going Kane rather than Haaland GW1, getting rid of TAA too early (or rather the one week he hauls!).

I used my wildcard in GW4, when I got rid of TAA (and James) and ended up with GW rank almost 8m! However, as they say a wildcard is not just for 1 week but several weeks. Since then, things have improved and end of GW6, gone up to 1.5m! If you include GW7, gone up a little bit more 🙂

GW6 was a particularly good one and helped much by hauls from differential (ish/sort) players – Rashford and Toney – who scored 35 points between them.

Still early days so still can be big rank changes. Another haul from a lowish owned player and hopefully another big green arrow. Looking at LiveFPL, 10 points behind 1m rank and between 500k and 200k, its just 11 points.

Plans?

Now gameweek 7 did not happen because Premier League postponed all matches. Gameweek 8 will not be normal as 3 matches have been postponed. Chelsea v Liverpool, Man United v Leeds, and Brighton v Palace. I can get a full team out but would mean no subs. And playing Ward.

I have 2FTs so going to do at least one transfer. This could be good excuse/timing to get rid of Salah – thinking either Son or KDB. Son for the fixture. KDB for the fixture (and form). Hopefully Son finds form! Fixture v Leicester is better than v Wolves. KDB is of course good and since everyone has Haaland, getting the person who assists him will help rank – and thats most likely to be KDB. Anyway, got a few days to think about it.
